The 2020 MACRAO Annual Conference was held virtually from Wednesday, November 18 to Friday, November 20.
When the Conference Planning Committee chose "Looking to the Future" as the theme of the 2020 Conference, we had no idea what was about to happen this year! But the theme is perhaps even more appropriate as we approach the end of a momentous year, in both higher education and in our everyday lives.
The 2020 Conference was held completely online. Each session "slot" had a mix of virtual sessions led by MACRAO members and others who are experienced in the subject matter being presented. In that way, this year's virtual conference wasn't that different other than the way it's being delivered. A big difference, though, will be that you could choose which "slots" you are available to attend (and are interested in, of course!). Unlike being at the conference in person, we all have daily commitments that might prevent attending everything... so attendees could feel free to drop in when they were available.
There was no cost to attend the 2020 annual conference.
